Reflecting on live recording

I am confident that I gave the right impression of myself. I felt relaxed and confident throughout the interaction. I believe that I presented myself well and showed a genuine interest in my role and responsibilities. The initial recording was in English at the suggestion of my responsable, therefore no particular linguistic difficulties were encountered.

I was very happy and positive with the outcome of the interaction. I felt as if I had quite a good rapport with my responsables, especially with M Du Rochet at the lyce. He enquired into my housing situation and training pre-October which added a personal element to an otherwise academic context.

I feel that my tmoignage portrays a very accurate reflection of the interaction. It was of course difficult to 'act naturally' whilst recording, but I do not feel that this hindered the interaction. It is certain that my interaction at the college was far briefer than at the lyce, but I believe that this was more due to the fact that prior to the interactions I had spoken more at the collge ie regarding my personal life, housing etc and therefore the '1st interaction' was more of a factual session ie timetabling/ discipline/ administration.

As my recordings took place slightly into the term, after I had already taken some lessons, I felt positive and very content to receive feedback and to be praised for my first few lessons. It was nice to know that the students had enjoyed the first lessons and subsequently set me in a very positive frame of mind for the rest of the year. I believe that to receive feedback (especially positive) is a great confidence booster (which is sometimes needed) at the beginning of a new job/position as assistant.
